My 2nd week

Ø Describe your ideal Instructor/Professor.

I would like a professor that is happy, not crabby everyday of the week. Also, they should be personable, be able to talk to everyone like we are adults, not looking down at us.

Ø “I knew it when I studied it, but I forgot it on the test.” How can students study differently to prevent this from happening?

I like to read it to people, or make little phrases to help me to remember better.

Ø How do you study for quizzes/tests?

I re-read everything in my book, then go to my notebook and look over everything. I like to highlight key facts or words.

Ø What do you have trouble with on quizzes/tests?

I have test anxiety(I can't spell....I don't know if it's right) so I get really nervous before tests and in the beginning I feel like I'm going to fail but then I read a couple questions and I relax. Otherwise I don't have to much trouble.....I do hate trick questions though!

  1. Test Anxiety is very normal and yes, it gets difficult. BE sure to read the tips I handed out in class and we will talk more about it as well.

Reading to other people is an excellent study technique!

Yes, it would be nice if all Profs were never crabby ;) I personally don't know what they have to be crabby about -- they earn about $60k/year for working what, 2-3 hrs/day? Come on!

Don't forget to answer the "healthy fast food" question at the end of Blog #2 - 7/10 until you do so ;)
